The WesBank Botswana International Air Show returns on Saturday as multitudes of aviation enthusiasts and eager members of the public look forward to be part of the thrilling annual show.

In Its fourth year running, the show that was previously known as the Matsieng Airshow will once again be held near Rasesa in the Kgatleng District.

Organised by the Matsieng Trust, the WesBank Botswana International Air Show has earned a reputation as one of the biggest in Africa.

Last year the show attracted participants and spectators from as far as Zimbabwe, South Africa and Namibia.

In partnership with WesBank Botswana, a division of FNB Botswana, Matsieng Trust uses the platform to raise funds for charitable organisations, whilst bringing together the community for a fun-filled family day marked by aerobatic air flips and stunts.

WesBank Botswana, as the main sponsor continues to show unwavering support for the show whilst using the platform to engage with customers in a relaxed entertaining atmosphere.

FNBB Director of Marketing and Communications, Bomolemo Selaledi says they are honoured to be working yet again with Matsieng Trust, and to be part of an event that further highlights Botswana on the international scene.

“The previous installments of the Air Show were a phenomenal success, and yet again, we’re looking forward to bringing attendees an even more impressive experience this year, and encourage all to come out and show their support,” she said.

The highlight from the 2014 show included para-gliders, aerobatics, a triple inverted parachute drop, exhibition of aircrafts and motors.

This year’s show, according to the organizers, promises to be even more thrilling.


“This is not only an opportunity for us to showcase WesBank’s offerings as a leading financier for vehicle and asserts including aircrafts, passenger and commercial vehicles, plant and machinery, agriculture equipment, boats, motorbikes and earth moving equipment. Indeed, it is a platform for us to better engage with members of the community and build and strengthen relationships with the extended family and friends of the Bank. We welcome all to attend for a great day out, helping make a charitable difference to our greater community,” concluded Selaledi.

The WesBank International Air Show is open to all members of the public, and tickets are available at Pharma Lulu: (Mowana Shopping Centre, Wesgate mall- Western Bypass), Spar (Village Spar-Riverwalk, Airport Junction, Kgale Spar-Game City) and also at the venue on the day of the event. for P80 adults and P50 children (below 17 years).
