With less than 24 hours to go before the much awaited Tlatsa Lebala event, ticket sales for the music festival currently stand at around 90 per cent.
Over 10, 000 people are expected to turn up for Saturday’s show, which promises to be one of the biggest in the country’s history.
To ensure the event goes smoothly, 70 police officers have been deployed to secure the area.
Confirming that there will be a police presence at the show, Central Police Station Commander, Superintendent Vincent Pitseetsile, told The Voice, “Since we are expecting a bumper crowd, we have decided to assist with security although the event organisers have their own security.”
If the event is successful, Kast will be the first Motswana to fill the National Stadium with a 100% local line up.
He came up with the concept after being inspired by South African Hip Hop Artist, Casper Nyovest who successfully filled Coca Cola Dome and Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.
However, the event failed last year due to bad weather.
He then embarked on a 1, 000km walk from Maun to Gaborone.
