The Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) is guiding existing enterprises and upcoming entrepreneurs to go bold and take on the globe during this year’s BOCCIM Northern Trade Fair. 
The BNTF runs from the 27th to 30th May under the theme Global Marketing: A tool for Sustainable Growth.
According to BOCCIM, the brand names attending this year’s affair will be seating in numerous seminars and workshops to interact on the theme. The events, coordinated by reputable institutions, are expected to add value to the attendees more especially the small micro medium enterprises (SMME’s).  Further, in line with the ‘go global’ theme, this years’ BNTF is expected to be officially opened today by the Indian High Commissioner to Botswana Madhava Chandra. 
For first time attendee, EBAT Communication and Marketing, the theme is fitting. The company’s Executive Director, Mompati Maruapula, says the timing is right. “The theme is fitting because it runs parallel with the rebranding of Botswana in efforts to sharpen the nation’s appeal in the global market.” According to him, businesses want to increase their demand base and thus reap more. He says one way to do so is to take on the globe through effective communication. “Communication is not a luxury but a necessity. It determines whether your product or service is received or not. So I anticipate that attendees will gain substance from this fair.”
While the business community will be pondering on how to take over the global markets during business day, members of the public will be treated to exhibits of Botswana’s best brands and entertainment galore starting today. Fashion lovers will also be catered for during the Fashion Show tomorrow at 1900hrs at Adansonia Hotel.
