Sehitwa police are still trying to find answers in the suicide case of a 69-year-old man who is believed to have shot himself at Hynaveld farms, outside the tourism capital of Maun last week Thursday.
Klaas Boll whose son was expected to fly in from Holland today (Tuesday) to find closure on the sudden loss, is said to have left a suicide note with a friend.
When confirming the suicide case, Sehitwa police station commander, Elias Malope, explained that,“ a friend received a whatsApp message that suggested that the man intended to commit suicide.”
Although Malope refused to share details of the suicide note, a friend closer to Boll’s family revealed that the message read something like, “come to my house with the police and bring a coffin with you.”
The friend is said to have immediately reported the matter to the police and showed them the message.
Police say upon their arrival at the farm, Boll was already dead and he appeared to have shot himself with the gun.
“We are still awaiting post mortem results,” explained Malope.
Boll was a naturalised Motswana who was married to a Motswana woman.
