Limkokwing University offered license

Limkokwing University has finally been offered a full license to operate as a tertiary institution.

Since 2007 when it set up shop in Botswana, Limkokwing University has been using a ‘letter of interim authority.’This was said by the Vice Chancellor Dr Raphael Dingalo this week during the press briefing in Gaborone.He also said the university will hold the 2014 graduation this Thursday.

945 graduates will graduate under the theme ‘The future is now in your hands.’

The guest of honour will be the Vice President Dr Ponatshego Kedikilwe who will also receive a Honorary Doctorate of Leadership.

Dr Dingalo said they are the first and only private tertiary institution in Botswana as at present to be awarded the license.

He said the university has qualified to lay claim that are a beacon of creativity and innovation.

“We contribute in a big way towards a knowledge society.

Our interpretation is that ‘knowledge society’ provides a wider space to evoke creativity and innovation, exchanging and disseminating it without limits.” he said.
