Ndaba sets high precedent for political campaign launches
All roads in led to Rainbow School hall on Saturday where the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) parliamentary hopeful for Gaborone Bonnington South, Ndaba Gaolathe was launched in style.
Residents of the constituency and party supporters from far and beyond thronged the much publicised event to see the man behind the Calm Change campaign being unveiled to the excited public.
Reiterating his unwavering message to the electorates the calm revolutionist called on people to embrace the winds of calm change’.
When he took to the podium the hall thundered in a roar of applause.
And then he rose to the occasion with a moving speech which appealed to his audience’ sense of patriotism and the need to be proud of being a Motswana who is ready to start the revolution through small but significant individual contributions.
“We are the generation that will repair the broken trust of our people in our system. And we will succeed in it.” he said much to the delight of the crowd.
For his part UDC president Duma Boko when launching Gaolathe described him as a capable leader who has the interest of his people at heart.
Other speakers included the UDC Secretary General General, Gomolemo Motswaledi and Mp for Francistown South Whynter Mmolotsi.
