Legendary Ndingo Johwa is expected to launch the Retired Nurses Society Branch North to be held tonight (Friday) at Tati River Lodge.
Johwa, whose prominence in the music industry is undisputable, will dish out the best of his music.
According to the yet to the branch secretary Tshepo Chepete, the idea of forming a retired nurses’ society in the northern part of the country was derived from the desire to serve the nation.
Without taking anything from the efforts in place, Chepete said most of the retired nurses are not being utilized by the government in terms of offering home based care to patients suffering without help in the country.
She added that the launch is aimed at alerting the government through the Ministry of Health that the retired nurses are still available and willing to help the nation in terms of good provision of health services to its people.
Chepete said the acute shortage of nurses being experienced in clinics, hospitals and other health facilities across the country can be solved by engaging retired nurses.
