Jazz X Change promised early this year that it will rise to be the hub of jazz in Botswana with its partner Cresta Lodge, based in Gaborone.  This month Jazz X Change will be graced by the one and only Botswana born naturally talented, cultural ambassador Shanti lo.

 Shanti lo will present a powerful, 1930’s to 1969 Al Capone themed jazz musical razzmatazz

Shanti Lo is  the first Motswana artist to perform at esteemed international events such as the Havana Jazz Festival (Havana, Cuba), National Arts Festival (Grahamstown, South Africa), Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival (Johannesburg, South Africa – 2012), Bushfire Arts Festival (Swaziland – 2011) and Mahikeng Jazz Festival (Mafikeng, South-Afrca -2015). Shanti Lo has also performed in Ireland, Nigeria, Kenya and Germany to mention a few

Shanti Lo’s growing brand has accorded him an influential stance in Botswana’s cultural development, through his subtle yet powerful social commentary and persuasion in contemporary urban culture, in his music and design as well as his authority and strength in the print and social media. 

Shanti lo continues to travel abroad, on cultural and musical exchanges that also puts him on a good platform to exercise his growing proficiency in international relations and diplomacy, often engaging with Botswana’s diplomatic missions abroad, to become one of the country’s most promising and sought after cultural ambassador. 

On 04 August, 2019 you will be able to see Shanti loperform his most influential style of music that ticked him to enter the world of entertainment since an early tender age.
