Jazz X Change was established to educate, develop and better musicianship, to give musicians the opportunity to experience live performances and learn how to manage themselves and entertain their fans.
JxC provides a platform for musicians to discover their potential.
To date, we have held 37 successful shows since 2014, and have provided exposure for the artists that have partaken in the program, thus, bridging the gap between established, upcoming artists and seasoned & veteran local and international Artists.
To date we have worked with and mentored up to 157 musicians, In Bostwana.
In 2017, Jazz X Change show featured a gospel group; it was sold out weeks before the show!
We then realized the niche for gospel shows in Botswana.
The Jazz X Change team created and produced a Jazzpel concept where “GOSPEL MEETS JAZZ.” Gospel will be jazzified to produce the first of its kind concert in Gaborone.
The show is scheduled for the28th April 2019, featuring four (4) local gospel groups: Doba, Tshego, Rose-Marie and Tebogo.
They will be backed by the Big Pill Band.
Jazz X change has created a challenge in the fusion of Gospel and Jazz where artists will be required to go off the normal tracks of musi c arrangement to deliver a new taste in music presentation.
This is meant to touch all jazz enthusiasts as well as Gospel music lovers.
Jazzpel will present music from the 1960’s all the way to 1985 styles.
This will salivate the music glands in all that attend the show.
Jazzpel promises a new way of appreciating Gospel and Jazz.
We assure that Jazzpel will be a great show for both Gospel and Jazz enthusiasts.
