Yoga lovers are in for the treat of a lifetime with internationally acclaimed instructor, Swami Purnachaitanya heading to Francistown for a four-day course.
The 34-year-old is a Senior Trainer at the Sri Sri School of Yoga and has travelled the world teaching a wide range of Art of Living programs.
Currently on a tour of Southern Africa, he specialises in Sri Sri Yoga, which is widely accepted as the purest and most authentic form of Yoga with the focus on posture, breathing techniques and meditation.
Following a week-long stint in the capital, Swami Purnachaitanya will head to the second city for his Sri Sri Level 1 program, which runs from 6 – 9 February at the Civic Centre.
All sessions take place from 6pm to 8pm apart from the final one which is scheduled for 9am to 11am.
Participants are encouraged to wear loose, comfortable clothing and must bring along a Yoga mat.
Registration costs P350 for first timers whereas students and repeaters will pay P150.
“The course provides one with a practice that can be used to refresh and heal the body as well as rejuvenate and calm the mind. Daily practice of these exercises can often relieve one of many common problems like neck and back pain, stiffness, stress, low concentration levels and disturbed sleep,” explained the Art of Living’s Francistown instructor, Anandi Padmanabhan, who stressed the program was open to Yogis of all levels.
