Free Eye Surgery in Molepolole
Free Eye surgery begins today

The Ministry of Health in partnership with the Chinese Embassy, today started an eye operation campaign at Scottish Livingstone Hospital in Molepolole.

The campaign is aimed at reducing incidents of blindness in the country, also the retinal disorders are being performed by a team of Ophthalmologists from both China and Botswana.

According to the Ministry of Health, this will be the first time in the country to make use of the latest technology equipment called the Phaco-Emulcification including reducing labia with surgery for the cataract extraction operation.

At least 500 people are expected to benefit from the free campaign that ends on July 10th.
