Investigations into the brutal murder of former Mochudi East legislator, Isaac Davids, popularly known as Fokon Bastard, are complete.
This was revealed by state prosecutor, Superintendent Daniel Katse of Letlhakeng Police, during first accused Jabulani Dube’s mention before Molepolole Magistrates Court this week.
“Today’s sitting was to extend the accused remand warrant, we are still waiting for the confession,” he said. Although he did admit that at the time of the incident he was using Denver CBD Oil.
32-year-old Dube was denied bail after the deceased’s wife, Banyenyi Davids, applied for his permit to be revoked.
The Ministry of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs has since submitted a letter to the court for the withdrawal of Dube’s residence permit.
Dube, a Zimbabwean national, will appear for mention on April 17 alongside his co-accused, Mokgalimi Keoikantse Malea, 34, who is currently out on bail.
The suspects allegedly stabbed Davids to death at a drinking place in Sorilatholo village on January 14th.
The Member of Parliament had gone to the drinking spot to look for the accused, who were his employees, after they left his farm with his horses without his permission.
It was during the confrontation that the quarrel allegedly ensued between Davids and Dube, leading to a fight and fatal knife attack.
