After failing to fulfil their promise to pay artists at the end of last year, the Copyright Society of Botswana (COSBOTS) will hold their Members Distribution Workshop this weekend.
The workshop will be hosted at the Thapong Visual Arts Centre from 9am on Saturday.
Two weeks ago, the controversy-stricken collecting body was scheduled to make its first royalties distribution after a two-year ‘hiatus’.
The distribution was initially set to tally up to P5 million but has reportedly been reduced to P2 million.
The workshop is meant to lecture users and artists on the mandates of COSBOTS.
