Minister: Shaw Kgathi

Minister of Youth Sports and Culture Shaw Kgathi will this Saturday launch behavior change trucks in Francistown. The launch will be combined with Multiple Concurrent partnership (MCP) campaign by the Francistown District Multisectoral AIDS Committee DMSAC.
The launch will kick start with marches from Gerald Estates, Block 10 and Tatitown police stations in the morning and end at the playground next to phase four community hall where the ceremony will be held.
Various organizations working within the HIV/AIDS sector are also expected to exhibit during the event while Tebelopele and BOCAIP will do HIV testing for couples.
Assistant District AIDS coordinator Keshepile Nthomiwa said they decided to do a double launch so it can be highly effective.
“This launch of MCP is to embark on sexual activities behavioural change branded as OICHEKE, which was launched in Gaborone last year. Our district wants to do a continuation of last year’s launch so that we can bring everybody in Francistown and surrounding areas on board and make them aware of the dangers of Multiple Concurrent Partnership. This launch is directed to sexually active population not only youth. This will be an open day, people will get first hand information and there will be a time where they be attended individually in different stalls.” Said Nthomiwa
