BOCCIM will hold its Northern Trade Fair at Francistown under the theme ‘Investment: My opportunity to play a role in an evolving global economy. Tapping into unlimited opportunities.’
The show will run for five days, starting on the 21stof May until 25th May 2014. The official opening is on the 23rd and the prize-giving dinner on the 24th at Adansonia hotel at 18h30.
The guest speaker is the CEO of Botswana Telecommunications Corporation, Paul Taylor.
Speaking to VoiceMoney this week, BOCCIM Head of Public Affairs Marketing and Communications,SheillahMoribame, said preparations are at an advanced stage.
She said all the stalls are fully-booked both in the hall and the marquee outside.
“We are expecting over 150 exhibitors from the government, parastatal and private sectors. This show is meant to create a platform for businesses to interact, network and create awareness about their products and services. Last year the main speaker was also from BTC, simply because they are the main sponsors and thus are accorded the opportunity to speak by virtue of their support towards the event,” said Moribame.
The overall theme is in line with Francistown Vision 2022’s theme of ‘an investment centre of vibrance.’ Moribame said this goal cannot be achieved without a vibrant private sector.
She added that BOCCIM has sent invitations through their counterpart organizations to invite members to participate.
She thanked the main sponsor, Botswana Telecommunications Corporation, as well as KBL.
The entrance fee at BOCCIM show grounds will be P20 for adults and P10 for school-going children under 12.
Dinner tickets are sold at P330 each.
