The annual Botswana Integrated Sports Association (BISA) and the sister code, Botswana Primary Schools Sports Association (BOPSSA) 2019 Athletics Finals got underway this morning at Francistown Sports Complex.
In an interview with Voice Sports this afternoon, BOPSSA Public Relations officer, Lawrence Moseki, said the games got off to an impressive start with the young athletes giving it their all in front of a cheering crowd.
“So far the Central and North west regions have imposed themselves and showed a bit of experience since the games started this morning,” Moseki said.
He further said he was impressed with the turnout from Francistown people and urged more to come to the stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday to see the country’s future stars in action.
The games were officially opened by Assistant Minister of Basic Education Thato Kwerepe yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. The assistant Minister urged both the employer and teachers to work on building a fluid relationship to ensure the country’s sporting future is well secured.
The games come to an end on Wednesday.
