Mogoditshane parliamentary candidate Chillyboy Rakgare has launched his campaign for this year’s general elections.
His launch was attended by hundreds of Botswana Congress Party members at the weekend.
One of the speakers Michael Dingake accused the BDP of planning to rig the elections.
“There were so many protests before BDP central committee after their primary elections. They have always been cheating. It is just now that Batswana are seeing things in a different way and they have realized their tricks,” he said.
The BCP president Dumelang Saleshando said they are the only party that is concerned about education in this country.
He accused the BDP of not taking education seriously which is why government does not have the substantive Minister of Education.
“Vote for us, give us a chance to rule so that we can improve the standard of education. If we compare results of government and private schools there is a huge difference because in private schools, students go through pre-school. We are the only party that has a shadow cabinet and that shows we are ready to lead. Rakgare is a capable young man and the right candidate to stand for your interests at parliament,” said Saleshando.
Saleshando said what the BDP understands is to reap the economy through corruption hence the rich becoming richer and the poor becoming poorer.
Rakgare asked Mogoditshane residents to vote for him so he voices their problem of shortage of land at parliament.
He said Mogoditshane land board has 140 000 land applications, a sign that Masimolole has failed them.
