A 22-year-old man accused of twice raping an old woman and attempting to rape another elder will appear again before Mochudi Magistrate Mareledi Dipate late next month.
Oteng Tente Thebe of Mathubudukwane who is in custody is accused of raping a 70-year-old woman in January 2009 and again in July last year. He is also alleged to have raped a 21-year-old young woman in May 2009 and attempted to force himself on a 76-year-old in January this year.
The youngman at an earlier court appearance pleaded guilty to raping the 21-year-old and his alleged rape attempt on the 76-year-old but changed his plea to not guilty when he appeared for mention on Tuesday.
“I am not guilty. I mistakenly pleaded guilty because I was a bit confused,” Thebe told court.
He will be back in court for mention on June 27
