We are playing BDF X1 again and this is the only team that has beaten us in the first round, surely we will be ready for this one.
People are already saying it will be a battle against Joel and Mompati Thuma. The thing with football games is that it is never a game between individuals. If Thuma is going to play me, well not with me. The bottom line is we are ready to raid the army men.
TAFIC WAS TOUGH
People who don’t come to games will just think we had it easy against Tafic this past weekend.
I want to be honest and say the score line doesn’t always reflect how the game was. While we were leading one nil at half time they had hope and it made them fight even harder after recess. We also had no choice but to up the game as we looked for the second. Luckily the football gods smiled on us and once more I scored a brace.
While most football fanatics think we have run away with the league with the current 11 points gap.
The truth is that in football it is not over until it is over. We are still as committed as ever. If there was no AFCON break I was going to say we have one hand on the trophy but you never know what happens after such long breaks.
Having won the league and cup before I think what I see at Chiefs is a winning mentality.
This is the spirit I saw at Rollers when we won the league. The difference with other teams is that we are all leaders and hungry so we never really wait for halftime to get a pep talk from the coach. This has worked and it is bringing results, why change it?
I am still being linked to my former boss, Raman Gumbo who is now at Zimbabwe Platinum Stars.
The news has resurfaced again and I am still in the dark at least for now. There is no concrete offer on the table. There was another rumour recently that I’m going back to Rollers; I don’t know where people get such information. What I can say however is that I am a Chiefs player, still contracted to them. If I go it will have to be between me and them and all parties happy. The truth is that I can play anywhere where there is money.
