In a bid to give back to the community, Filex Masunga has organized a music workshop for artists to learn the techniques of professionalizing their musical careers and compete among the best in the industry.
In other countries, musicians do go to school and learn how to play music and turn it into a profession.
But locally, most of the artistes do not have a qualification in music.
Masunga told this publication that the workshop started on Tuesday at SupaNgwao Museum in Francistown.
According to Masunga, the workshop will end this Saturday. It will end with a musical concert where artists will put into practice what they have been learning throughout the week. Participants parted with P100.
Masunga said the proceeds to be realized during the workshop and the concert will be donated to Lephoi Centre for the Visually Impaired and Save-our-Souls (SOS) village.
Shashe Dam Bar, situated some few kilometers south of Francistown, would be a hive of activity tonight.

The full of energy DJ Sly is also expected to belt some of his popular mixes during the show.
Voluble as he is perfectly known, DJ Sly will clash against the traditional music icon in Maghebula (Alfred Keorete) and the architect of the most loved mbanxanga music, MC Maswe (Thapelo Maleka).
It remains to be seen if the combination of MC Maswe and Maghebula will outsmart DJ Sly.
A new kid on the afro-pop bloc would tomorrow (Saturday) night launch his first album at the City of Francistown’s Phase IV hall.
