‘I discussed it with my manager coach Jean Vester, and I decided to withdraw so that I can give muscle time to heal. Even the doctor told me not to risk. I did not have enough rest from weekend race may that is why it is painful.
As an athlete you should not force the body if you are not well. I still have other important races ahead and with Diamond League is just a matter of collecting points.
There are still 12 hits left and I hope I will recover and compete in the next race. Good luck to my boy Makwala. I have no doubt he will represent the country well.” Said Amos
