DJ CLOCK TO ROCK GHETTO TONIGHT
The celebrated DJ was expected to fly-in yesterday (Thursday) and be chauffer driven into the country’s second largest city for the gig scheduled to start at 8pm.
He will share the stage with the likes of DJ Bunz (Peter Gaseitsiwe) and a number of other supporting acts from the Ghetto.
Mike Njuga, one of the organizers, said the show is expected to set the tone for the winter session to come.
The much-anticipated show will be a perfect opportunity for the celebrated South African to demonstrate why he continues to be a firm favorite of many in his home country and beyond the borders of South Africa.
DJ Clock started his musical career at the tender age of 12. The Umahamba yedwa -hit-maker uses his music as his main form of communication because he does not talk much.
His music has been receiving the nod of approval from the local dance music community and it proves that he is here to stay.
MR & MISS PUBLIC SERVICE CROWNED
Last Friday night saw the Mr and Miss Public Service Day 2014 being crowned at a fully packed Francistown Civic Centre.
Koobake; an Administration Officer with the Department of Information Technology (DIT) in Francistown walked away P500 richer and won the whole weekend at Adansonia Hotel.
The 31-year-old Senior Supplies Officer with the Francistown City Council (FCC) also won P500 prize money and a weekend out at Tati River Lodge (TRL).
According to one of the organizer, Masego Dingwe, the event is an annual event held to urge the spirit of teamwork amongst public servants.
Dingwe said the public servants have time to share on issues ranging from good service and work ethic.
The winners will represent Francistown during a national competition to be held in Palapye on May 27.
