Rollers surprise Jagdish with trophy at airport
Township Rollers Chairman Jagdish Shah was met by a wave of blue and yellow as enthusiastic fans and players met him at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport on Wednesday evening.
The financial muscle behind the 2013/14 beMOBILE League Champions was lifted into the air by his players and technical staff.
Visibly happy, Shah gave the beMOBILE trophy a huge smack before going around hugging his players and congratulating them for a job well done.
Rollers won their 12th league title last Saturday in Palapye defeating Miscellaneous 1-0. While the win bagged the trophy for Rollers, it also condemned the Serowe outfit to the first division after two seasons of top flight football.
It was the second team that was relegated after a loss to the Gaborone giants.
Madinda Ndlovu’s side also condemned Tafic to the Debswana sponsored league on their way to clinching the league.
The team in a good position to dominate the beMOBILE Awards, with a couple of players selected for individual awards.
