Francistown based folk music group, Mazganda.com was expected to leave the country yesterday (Thursday) and head northwest to Zambia.
The group who will bring their brand of folk music and comedy, are expected to perform at a shopping complex on Easter Friday morning as a prelude to an evening show booked at Jindu Night Club in the Copperbelt region of Zambia.
Botswana-based Zambian promoter Violet Kakanda-Sulumbu has organized the gigs and is confident Mazganda will be well received, adding that the although the group are small they have great potential.
“It is very rare to find a group that is capable of mixing comedy and folk music,” said Kakanda-Sulumbu in her heavy Zambian accent.
