When Citie Seetso became the first local based jazz artist to have a slot in the prestigious annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival, I thought doors were finally open for locals.
With the recent resurgence of jazz in the country I was hopeful that this year another local muso will make it.
When the show kicks off this Friday no local artist will be playing.
That magic when Seetso and Bro John Selolwane captured the hearts of many will not be repeated.
Hopefully, just hopefully a local will make the line-up next year.
