A Zimbabwean refugee, Tickey Dube appeared in the Francistown magistrates’ court on Thursday facing a single count of defilement.
Dube also known as TK of Zone 5 at the Dukwi Refugee Camp – 180km northwest of Francistown – pleaded not guilty to the charges .
According to court papers, Dube, 37, allegedly had sexual intercourse on October 18, 2013 with an under aged girl from Kutamogore village, just a few kilometers from Dukwi.
The accused father of four is said to have failed to control his sexual urge while his wife was nursing their fourth child.
The sex starved Dube allegedly enticed the 15- year-old- girl into sex with him on several occasions until he was finally nabbed on October, 18 2013 when he was caught red handed with the minor in some bush.
Inspector Oteng Selalame of Dukwi Police Station did not object to the accused person being granted a conditional bail.
Selalame told the court that Dube was a registered refugee who would not run away.
He was granted a P500 bail and expected back in court today (Friday)
