MothokaThe man who was killed by his Shebeen queen boss last week has been laid to rest.

Raboshimane Bond Mothoka, 58, was buried in Tatisiding village amidst fond memories of his life and how he used to make people laugh.

Speaker after speaker described Mothoka as a comedian who entertained the people of Tatisiding with his comedy for free.

“He was our Trevor Manuel (South African comedian) here in Tatisiding.

We have lost a rib cracker indeed,” said a mourner who did not want to be mentioned.

Mothoka died on February 3 2014 at Dumatau shopping centre where he was hit on the head with a brick by his shebeen queen boss for upsetting her daughter.

Giving a funeral speech, his nephew Tshekiso Mothoka told the gathering that the medical report had indicated that Mothoka died of excessive head injuries.

Meanwhile the accused Shebeen queen was expected to be back in court today (Friday).

Quite interesting that not only is Trevor Manuel a seasoned South African politician, he also (supposedly) doubles as a comedian too :).

Who is trying to ‘crack our ribs’ here ? The voice reporter or the quoted mourner?
