Botswana Stock Exchange listed property giant, Turn-Star holding has announced that it has bulls eyed 2014 for expansion and a facelift for Game City shopping precinct in Gaborone.
Turn star Holdings Managing Director, Gulaam Abdoola said the shopping mall will get an additional 8500 square meters of extra space which will have a designed fashion avenue for urban upmarket clients, including a restaurant area with outside terrace and a multi function entertainment area inclusive of an up to date kiddies playing section.
He further explained that the redevelopment and facelift will comprise of a secure underground parking area, which will be able to accommodate up to 400 vehicles at one time.
Abdoola further said that he intends to ensure that game city mall remains a premier shopping precinct of choice and high repute in urban Gaborone.
Of late, Turn-Star Holdings has been performing as the most diversified listed property company in Botswana, with property assets valued over P1.4 Billion. “Construction of the project will begin in mid 2014 and it should be completed by the late next year,” Abdoola said.
He added that the project was being implemented simultaneously with the expansion of Mlimani City shopping mall in Tanzania. “We expect both projects to be completed by the end of 2015,” he said.
