INTRODUCING YAW YOUNGYaw-Young

Ghanian rapper Yaw Young (Eric Stephan Korsha) is ready to take the local music scene by storm.

The 21 year old student who arrived in the country just recently to stay with his parents has a beautiful video “Same girl” which will soon play on Btv.

Signed to Giffa Productions, the rapper who originally went by the name Jay Trigger tells Big Weekend that he has already listened to local music and has fallen in love with it.

“I have listened to the likes of A.T.I, Zeus and Vee and they are good,” he said.

The young rapper is also of the opinion that Botswana Disco or Kwaito Kwasa could be fused with the popular genre that gave birth to Azonto dance in Ghana to come up with a unique sound.

“I’m confident that with the dance moves I have seen here, a fusion with Azonto could create something that will take the world by storm,” said Young.

His video can be accessed on Youtube (Young Yaw) and sound cloud (Jay Trigger).
