Team Distant, a Tswana house group made up of four producers, is set to rock its Francistown fans at the Lizard Entertainment on Saturday night.
Boasting of their hit single, Oni Korota, which they released last December, the group has been making waves on the local music industry.
This is despite the fact that the group is yet to celebrate its first anniversary. Since June this year, the group has been on a tour across the country promoting their latest single Kave Ngoma.
They have performed in Moshupa, Gaborone, Tlokweng and many other places around the country.
The group mixes a number of languages limited to IsiZulu, Setswana and Sesubiya.
At a show dubbed Botho University and Ba Isago All Students Ball, the group is expected to rock the Francistown’s ultimate entertainment centre.
Members of Team Distant are Kgosithebe Afroszest Toto, Omphile ‘OMP’ Baoki, Roy Roy-K Kasale and Kgolagano Pukka Entaile.

Month end is usually exciting in Francistown.
These days, music fans in Francistown do not need to attend shows anymore.
Due to the rising competition in the entertainment industry, musicians especially the upcoming ones are forced to market themselves within the central business district (CBD) and sell their works.
Every street corner is occupied by musicians trying to reach the masses.
Although some are failing to attract crowds, a number of groups pull crowds like never before. Fans have time to stand and watch musicians.
Efforts by musicians to urge fans to buy their work fell on deaf ears. With the trend at which musicians are promoting themselves, there is no point for one to buy a video.
Most groups hold the promotional shows in town with their full bands. On the other hand their music will be in full blast.
Popular Monkey Lounge nightclub situated in the hassle free area of Monarch area just outside the busy streets of Francistown has reopened.
The popular hangout joint closed shop some three months ago for a redesign and renovations. Now in a more spacious mode, the club is almost an up market club with one of the best dance floors and sitting area.
For a person looking for a more relaxed environment where one enjoys a drink after a long week of hard work, Monkey Lounge is the place.
The music box is out of this world.
Rocking Disc Jockeys (DJs) must be tired of being pulled and swayed at by fans.
But with the music box erected at Monkey Lounge, DJs will be in there secluded area. During the reopening ceremony last Friday, the atmosphere was so luxurious and every reveler liked the new look. And the owners of the renovated said the place to be is Monkey Lounge.
Who said culture is dormant? In fact it is dynamic. Under normal circumstances, girls or women are known for ululating when a poet is reciting those rhyming words.
But a Masunga Senior Secondary School male student has added a different dimension to poetry.
Dressed in the traditional attire, the poet surprised many recently when he went ‘kgaola mosimane o montsho’ when reciting a poem.
A tall, slim and handsome boy emerged from the crowd. Slowly, he ululated and attracted the attention of the audience.
With his soft voice, the boy managed to match his female counterparts much to the pleasure of the audience.
It was the first of its kind. But the young man proved his mettle. He perfectly rolls around his tongue such that he produces that well rounded and exciting sound. It was perfect indeed.
