Curvaceous Boitumelo Kunene Sechai over the weekend flew the Botswana flag high in Zimbabwe during the 2013 Miss Diamond Queen Africa.
Sechai stood apart from other 15 curvaceous girls drawn from six African nations.
The event, previously known as Miss Curvy beauty pageant, was held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
Law student, Chiedza Gwanda of Zimbabwe was crowned the overall winner while Mozambique’s curviest model, Nancy Ricardo became the second princess. Sechai is now expected to perform some charity work during her reign.
Countries that took part are Cameroon, South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia.
Preparations for the 2013 Miss Universe finals to be held in Gaborone in a couple of weeks are advancing well.
The twelve Miss Universe finalists finished their boot camp at the soda ash mining township of Sowa.
Sesafeleng ‘Safie’ Sekgwa, the organizer of the Miss Universe beauty pageant said the boot camp at Sowa was one of a kind.
Sekgwa said the beautiful and elegant girls managed to experience another side of the country.
With Miss Universe pageant having the potential of selling Botswana to the rest of the world, Sekgwa said the girls now have the full knowledge of what the country can offer.
He said the Makgadikgadi Pans are a unique and magnificent feature that the country should really market to the world.
Thapelo Maleka popularly known as MC Maswe has confirmed his tour of Sowa town next weekend.
The legendary MC Maswe is slated to perform at Sowa stadium.
His comments ahead of the gig reveal the most followed artist is ecstatic about the show and he encourages his fans from Sowa and the surrounding areas to brace for a historic perfomance.
He was quoted as follows: “It is just days before we rock Sowa! Do not miss.”
He said the people of Sowa and the peripheries should brace for a surprise on the day of the gig.

South African house music sensation, Zakes Bantwini is expected in the Botswana’s second largest city this (Friday) afternoon for a not to be missed show at the Francistown’s ultimate hangout joint, Lizard Entertainment.
Bantwini will be performing in Francistown for the first time tonight live with his full band.
According to the organizers, revellers should not worry about overcrowding because measures have been taken to avoid that as only a limited number of people will be allowed into the club.
