Two asylum seekers from the neighbouring Zimbabwe were last week dragged before a Francistown magistrate court for allegedly stealing a tent at Dukwi refugee camp.
Lucky Nkobi, 30 and Shadrack Ncube, 18 were nabbed for allegedly stealing a P2, 500 tent belonging to a fellow refugee, Chansiya George Morora.
It is alleged that the Khaki tent which went missing on the 13th of July was later recovered from Nkobi and Ncube who failed to explain how it got into their possession.
But when appearing before court on Wednesday this week, the duo pleaded not guilty to the charge of theft.
State Prosecutor Inspector Oteng Selalame told the magistrate that he did not have any problem with the suspects released on bail as long as the court gave conditions that would bind them to always appear in court when necessary.
Magistrate Dumisani Basupi who heard the case granted the suspects a bail condition of P300 each.
He ordered the two men to report to Dukwi police every Monday during working hours.
The two men will appear before court in two weeks.
