VEE LAUNCHES NEW GOSPEL ALBUM IN MAUN
I made it clear last weekend that Vee’s upcoming album will be filled with nothing but anointing. Well, I guessed right and the 12 track music piece is out.
I had an opportunity to watch the launch in Maun over the weekend and I must applaud Vee for the growth.
The pint sized Kwaito-Kwasa star has added live band to his set and I was also impressed to see him behind the decks.
He said this is the album to prove that he is a mature man and it will get him to heaven. If you listen to Track 2, you will definitely think it is sung by a Zimbabwean because it sounds like Zim gospel music.
Track 10 is surely one of the songs that will get night crawlers sweating come summer.
This is a package for all ages and a switch between jazz, a bit of soul and house.
TSHEPO AND REGGIE SEPARATE
Even though Gabz FM management was cagey about the looming changes at the station, yours truly can confirm that big changes are coming soon.
There were a couple of newspaper teasers on programme changes this past weekend and I have already picked that the old contemporary radio station will be separating two loved solid morning drive hosts, Tshepo Ntshole and Reggie.
It is said Reggie will remain with the show while Ntshole is deployed to the afternoon drive.
A couple of additional programs are being scrapped out. Contacted for a comment the station General Manager Lesego Komanyane noted that it was not complete.
“I am still waiting for my assistant and that is when I can have a stand on the matter,” he said.
After ten years of existence I must say that this is a great move and I hope we will now get fresh and revived content.
EVE PUTS UP GREAT SHOW AT JOE THOMAS CONCERT
It’s now official and if you don’t agree with me it is unfortunate. Our local artists are big and former Big Brother housemate Eva Maygilip proved that local is big and lekker at the weekend when she surpassed the American RnB legend Joe Thomas.
Who would have thought that Eva could put up such a big performance, despite that it was her first public appearance. Performing her single, ‘Don’t run away’ the Maygilip sister surely got revellers asking for more.
This being her first album, if she puts up stage energy, she will surely reach skies. “This was my first performance and I must say I am glad that I did an opening for a big artist like Joe.
It’s an honour,” she told Big Weekend.
I bet by now Joe Thomas is having double thoughts about sticking to RnB or joining Eva in her African style.

MISS SUSHI TO DROP NEW ALBUM
House music artist Miss Sushi is on the brink of dropping her second album titled “Past, present and future”.
Sushi dropped her debut album in 2011 called “Lovers of house” which enjoyed ample airplay on RB2.
The single for the coming album called “O montu” will drop end of this month.
The single “O montu” was produced by a Mafikeng based local producer called Dax.
