Mabogo Junior Secondary School males soccer team who are the reigning 2012 BISA champions have vowed to defend their title which they won during the 2012 edition.
The Palapye side walloped Letsopa Junior Secondary School of Lobatse 2-1 in the all important final to win the coveted trophy.
The talented and consistent side have qualified for the BISA National Finals in consecutive terms since 2008, 2009, 2012 and upcoming 2013.
The BISA 2012 male soccer Champions will be representing the North Central zone during the upcoming BISA 2013 National Finals which will be held from the 5th to 7th July in Gaborone.
The team is under the tutelage of two committed support staff personnel, Garayi Ndlovu who is assisted by Steven Steven.
Speaking to the Voice Sport the highly respected and rated youth Coach Garayi Ndlovu who has been mentoring the team since 2007 had this to say: “We are quite confident that our boys will successfully defend this title since we have fully prepared the team.”
Mabogo boasts of five players playing for Palapye All Stars which was recently promoted to the Debswana sponsored First Division north.
Among the rated players is team captain Gape Mohutsiwa who was part of the National Under 17 team that competed CAF Youth Championships in Morocco recently.
Serati Semadi who was the top goal scorer in 2012 finals will also be available to continue where he left off last year.
Ndlovu further on reported that the team has a smart partnership with Palapye All Stars, in which quality players who are doing well in the school team are being promoted to play competitive league football where they gain valuable experience and the Head Coach also sent gratitude to the school management who have been providing all the much needed support to the team.
The BISA National organizer for football Alphius Moloi called on the football loving fans to throng the dusty soccer pitches to support the boys who are the future stars of the nation.
