Man in brown jacket: Hi.
Woman in black jacket: Oh, hi.
Man in brown jacket: I saw you when I got in the combi and didn’t want to disturb you as you where still concentrating on your cell phone.
Woman in black jacket: Well, I was still chatting to some friends on facebook.
Man in brown jacket: I could see. People don’t notice others when they are on facebook.
What is so special about facebook?
Woman in black jacket: It is social media where you are able to chat with friends or relatives that you might have lost contact with long ago.
Man in brown jacket: I am not a facebook fan. Many bad things happen because of facebook.
Woman in black jacket: Many bad things? Like what?
Man in brown jacket: Ever since facebook was invented, many parents have lost control over their children. Children waste a lot of time on facebook.
They don’t want to help with chores. At times, I wish our leaders could stop this facebook thing in our country before it is too late.
Woman in black jacket: That will never be possible.
There are good things about face book.
It is the responsibility of the parents to monitor what their children do online or on face book.
Why should our leaders be the ones to blame every time when children get out of control? That is not fair.
Man in brown jacket: They are the ones to blame because they are the ones who say children have rights.
These days when you administer a corporal punishment on your child for doing something wrong, the child runs to Ditshwanelo and the police to report you.
Woman in black jacket: Ditshwanelo is not against disciplining their children. It becomes a problem when a parent injures a child.
Man in brown jacket: A loving parent wont injure their child.
I am telling you by 2016 our country will be full of rotten future leaders who do nothing but face book the whole day.
Man in blue jacket: I do agree with you. Today, children do not want to go to the cattle post.
I am also against this face book thing as they use it for insults, abusive language, and tribalism.
Man in brown jacket: General elections are coming next year and I know instead of going to vote, people will be on face book writing nothing, but insults.
If they are always complaining that the government is not allocating them plots and choose to spend time on face book, will face book allocate them plots?
Man in blue jacket: Who knows what will be next after face book?
As long as this battle is ongoing, our youth will rot on face book forever while the white youth prosper.
The combi reaches the station.
Everyone alights from the combi.
