HUNT FOR CULPRIT INTENSIFIES
A Marobela woman who was battling for her life in Nyangabwe Referral Hospital after being attacked by the same man who killed her mother, passed away early this week.
50-year-old BagelaMojiwa was thought to have been a key witness and could have identified her attacker who has been responsible for a series of murders and rapes in the area.
Bagela’s 85-year-old mother Tshiilo died last weekend following the savage attack on the couple at their farm.
Nyangabgwe Public Relation Officer (PRO) CaiphusGabana revealed that Bagela arrived in hospital in a critical condition and was put on life support but never recovered from her injuries.
He said: “The woman was admitted at the female surgical ward last week and died at around 4pm on Tuesday without apparently saying a word about the killer.”
Marobela Chief RapelangKhuweexpressed his sadness at the woman’s death and added: “We are still searching for the killer and it is unfortunate that Bagele passed away without even telling what could have transpired on that fateful night.”
Bagela is believed to be the third victim to die at the hands of the serial killer who has promised to kill more people including a police officer.
