LIKE FATHER LIKE DAUGHTER
The phrase ‘Like father like daughter’ is very rare.
Usually boys follow their father’s footsteps while daughters go along with their mothers.
But it is a different story altogether with an emerging gospel musician, Maitumelo Modikwa.
The 30-year-old singer is like an apple that never falls far from the tree.
She together with her father, Archbishop Pius Modikwa has compiled an eight-track gospel album titled Tumelo Yame.
She said the album which was released early this month appeals to all age groups and society.
“It is about praising God for the wonderful things he has done in your life,” she said.
Gospel music lovers in Francistown and the surrounding villages in particular and Botswana in general will be in for a treat tomorrow (Saturday) evening during a Praise Music Explosion 2013 to be hosted at Phase IV Community (Chedu Choga) hall in Francistown.
The gospel explosion event, expected to be an annual one, will feature both local musician and a renowned band from Zambia.
Mathews Matsetse is expected to headline the event while a Zambian gospel band, Vessel of Honor will be performing also.
Upcoming and promising Kgomotso Magunga will also dazzle fans with her dance moves on stage.
