After a disappointing long wait for the much publicized docudrama titled “Ntwakgolo”, the Tv drama will finally air on Botswana television this coming Wednesday at 8.30pm.
Produced by Dee Zone, Ntwakgolo is a 71 episodes TV docu-drama series funded by the National Aids Coordinating Agency and it’s all about HIV/AIDS education targeting individuals primarily between ages of 10 to 24 years and secondary target of 24 to 49 years.
“We are really excited that after the launch last year, we finally get to air and get our mandate on track of educating and empowering Batswana in relation to issues of HIV/AIDS,” said DeeZone C.E.O Thabiso Maretlwaneng.
According to the producers the drama will be worth the long wait because it’s a quality product packed with empowering messages and it also celebrates raw talent of young Batswana actors/actresses.
“We believe Ntwakgolo through edutainment will add great value to the NACA`s vision of having no new HIV infections by 2016.
We are also grateful for the support rendered by the different communities in various districts we`ve been to so far.
I will also like to thank our two main partners in this project namely NACA and Btv for their undying commitment to this project,” said Maretlwaneng.
