Local artists brace yourselves for a big snub by local promoters.
Shaya has the 4-1-1 on the recent silent agreement by most local promoters to keep local artists on the background.
Apparently the promoters are disappointed that local acts can perform in two gigs or more on the same night.
“The way we intend to design our fliers from now on is to give invited foreign stars, because at the end of the day they are the main attractions.
Why should I give A.T.I a big publicity space when he is not the main act for the show?”
Although this flier has no connection to the above mentioned silent agreement; apparently this is how fliers will look like from now.
BIG BROTHER IS SINGING
Whatever happens at Big Brother house I don’t care but I am very worried that it seems like those who go into that house either come out with scandals or they come out to create scandals.
I have realized that one added thing to their talent of scandals is singing.
A simple example is Kaone Ramontshonyana who all of a sudden became a musician after BBA and bored us to sleep with his songs.
Now to add to the list is Eva Maygilip. Shaya has been informed that the sister has dropped a single. What happened to you schooling in SA my sister?
Our Jazz artists are a real disappointment at times. One of the latest artist to disappoint me is Thabang of ‘Ke a gana’ fame.
The jazz star is said to be playing hide and seek with one of the bar owners in Thamaga.
Shaya has learnt the artist owes the bar man P1500 and has been dodging him ever since.
This just makes Shaya wonder as to how much Thabang charges to perform at a gig if he fails to pay a mere grand and half. Come on Mr T. just pay up.
SHAKAWE CELEBRATES HER DAUGHTER
Apparently people in Shakawe are celebrating after their daughter won a very important beauty pageant.
News reaching Shaya has it that there is a paralysed old man whose daughter is the current envy of a lot of young girls in the country.
Rumour has it that some of the said light skinned girl’s relatives and home girls and boys were however disappointed that, Shakawe was not mentioned during the acceptance speech.
Now who is this girl?
NOT A ROYAL CHAIR
A lot has been said about this year’s Miss Botswana pageant.
Well Shaya has to admit that despite all the hiccups the new queen is beautiful.
But Shaya laughed her ribs out when they brought this chair to the stage for the queen to sit on.
Come on guys!! This to me looks like a torture chair and at first I thought it appeared on the stage by mistake.
In fact I expected an illusionist to appear on stage to play a trick or two.
By the way whose old office was this piece of furniture taken from?
