breastfeedingMaun Police are investigating a case where a 16- year- old woman of Mabudutsa who works as a maid is being accused of breastfeeding her employer’s child.

According to Maun Station Commander Superitandant Kenanao Badumetse, the accused was left with a two months old baby and decided to breastfeed her when she refused to drink the bottled milk.

He said that when coming from work the 25- year- old mother realized that her daughter was having diarrhoea and asked the maid what could have happened.

Badumetse said that the maid confessed breastfeeding the baby as she had been breastfeeding her own baby six months earlier.

Both women were taken for medical check up at Maun General Clinic on Wednesday. He said after the results they will then know the kind of charge to lay against the accused person.

“I do not want to say much until we get the results from the hospital,” said Badumetse.

  1. why did she breast feed the baby which does not belong to her after 6 months without breast feeding? 16 years old mother? The man who impregnanted her defiled her coz it seems she became pregnant when she was 15 years.

  2. The maid is defineteley still wet behind the ears.
Waitse mapodisi a tlhokelwa tiro. Jaanong go ka bo go senyegile eng fa the 25-old mother a ko bo a busisantse le maid wa gagwe setho a bo a mokgalemela fela. Its obvious that this maid is still in the dark and didnt know the effects of her action. She surely did not think she was doing any harm but trying to assist the baby of the master

    It is not funny
The 16 year old is probably one of the many children employed in labour if there are no laws to protect them and make sure that they receive education- whose fault is it?? This issue of child labour should be taken seriously by authorities

Child labour is a common sight on the continent the children come from poverty stricken backgrounds trying to PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE because no ONE GIVES A DAMN ABOUT THEM .

SAY NO TO CHILD LABOUR AND PUT EVERY CHILD FROM A DISADVANTAGED BACKGROUND INTO SCHOOL
