OLD BEDFELLOWS

When I was growing up all I knew was that netball was the opposite of football.

In fact there was a time when these were the only existing sporting codes in school.

Football and netball have been bedfellows for many years and the relationship can only get stronger despite the mushrooming of other smaller sporting codes.

On that note Shaya has also observed that the Botswana Netball Association President, Tebogo Lebotse and her football counterpart Tebogo Sebego’s relationship seem to be growing alongside that of their sporting codes.

These two seem inseparable these days. Shaya spotted them together this past Saturday at Molepolole Sports Complex where they seemed to enjoy each other’s company immensely.

Such a relationship can only be good for the growth of sports so thumbs up for the power couple.

NDADI SILENCES GAY RUMOURS

Pssst! Have you heard? Apparently BONELA boss whom many suspected to be gay is getting married and its not to another man.

Uyapo Ndadi’s bachelor days as one of the country’s most elegible bachelors are over.

Eat your heart out y’ll single ladies out there, Ndadi is taken and planning to tie the knot this weekend, Shaya has learnt.

According to the grapevine the human rights activist wanted his wedding to be a seriously private affair and managed to keep it away from the long nose of Shaya all this time.

The BONELA Executive Director is a well known figure whose star shone even brighter when he became a very audible voice agaisnt the hotly debated Public Health Bill recently.

 

NEW DAWN FOR MOJAKI

FORMER Voice Sport Reporter and Columnist Monnakgotla Mojaki had people talking after a sterling performance on Supersport last weekend.

Mojaki was invited as a guest analyst in the weekend that Super- Sport finally arrived in Botswana.

The Gabz FM sports anchor had the social media buzzing, many football lovers were happy with his in depth knowledge of local football.

Could this be Botswana’s own Mark Gleeson? “Not yet, it was just a once off thing,” he said.

Well Shaya does hope that the impression he made on his first start would be enough to convince the Supersport crew to have him on a regular basis. In fact Shaya believes they already got him.
