Barclays Bank of Botswana has been recognized as Botswana’s most Conscientious Corporate Bank of the Year for 2012, as well as being the country’s Overall Best Bank of the Year.
The recent recognition came from international finance publication, InterContinental Finance magazine.
The awards are a result of an exercise that the publication carried out in September 2012 when readers were asked to nominate banks that had outperformed expectations on such things as quality of products, knowledge of products, customer service and overall reliability.
Graham Forster, the CEO – InterContinental Finance Group, says Barclays Bank of Botswana excelled in various fieldS but emerged outright winners in two categories.
“To be nominated as winners amongst all the other contenders proves that Barclays Bank of Botswana offers its corporate clients superior service, above other banks in the region,” Forster said.
Barclays Bank of Botswana’s interim Managing Director, AupaMonyatsi, says international awards of this nature are confirmation that the organisation has truly become the “go-to” bank in Botswana.
“I take pride in the fact that we were nominated and voted for by our customers,” Monyatsi said.
“I also wish to recognize the stellar performance of all colleagues at Barclays Bank of Botswana whose hard work has made us the bank of choice in Botswana.”
Last year, Barclays Bank of Botswana was also judged Botswana’s best bank by two other international finance publications, EMEA Finance and The Banker magazine.
