“She looked like she went swimming before she died. She was also covered with papers which raised suspicions that someone killed her and dumped her in that car so that it could to look like she had suff ocated in it.”

Relating the events of that fateful Wednesday morning when her granddaughter disappeared, Goitsemang said that the girl left for school but returned home an hour later so she ordered her to go back to school.

The old woman however became suspicious when the girl did not return home after school.

“Her mother and I started the search around seven in the evening until 10pm but reported her  missing the following day.”

She said that around 11am on Thursday, her aunt on her way to the clinic saw a group of people surrounding a car and when she went to investigate she found out that it was their child that the crowd was looking at.

Maun Police Station Commander Superitandant Kenny Badumetse confi rmed that they were investigating reports of a Boyeyi Primary School standard one pupil who was found dead in a car.
