FLAVOUR DOME ROCKS

For quite a while now I thousands of Batswana and have always complained about lack of local content in our radio stations Botswana television.

Music programs like Flavour Dome, were dominated by western music and the expense of allegedly “substandard” local videos.

However a lot has changed recently ; RB 1 has been particularly good; giving all the genres enough airplay.

Privately owned radio stations have been relentless in playing local urban music. However the biggest mover in this regard should be Btv, particularly Flavour Dome.

I have to admit, the local content is just amazing; ask the Swazi chicks. Edgar and my girl “B” now command a large following and I suspect that this is due to the exclusive music videos they have been playing.

Some of the videos are just wow; the quality is amazing. Flavour Dome has come of age, and I’m not missing a single show from now on. Hats off to the show! producers and the two presenters.

MISS BOTSWANA AUSITIONS IN F/TOWN peugeot-rcz-02

Thapama Hotel will host the second Miss Botswana auditions this Saturday.

After a disappointing turnout in Maun, where only seven girls showed up, the new Management is hopeful that Francistown would be a different story just to cool down this hot air of doubt surrounding the new leadership of club magnate Tops Masole of Pleasant Worthy and David Abram of Sweet Baint.

This joint venture came after a yearlong court case between BCW and previous organizers 63 Entertainment after the latter had decided to terminate their contract. On the 5thDcemeber 2012, the High court in Lobatse dismissed with costs the applicant’s case (63 entertainment) thereby reaffirming BCW’s decision to terminate the contract and on 11th January 2012, Tops was announced as the new man.
