Church members outraged
A Pastor of Godrich International Ministries was dragged before Francistown Magistrates Court last week to answer charges of raping a member of his congregation.
Apostle Mpho Maake, 49, is alleged to have raped a19-year-old girl who was a devoted member of his church.
According to reliable sources the man of the cloth gave the unsuspecting girl a drugged drink before pouncing on her while unconscious.
“The girl had gone to the pastor’s house after he asked her to come around and help clean the church. Services are held at the same place where the pastor stays in Block 10,” said a fellow member of the church.

Maake who hails from Hukuntsi is reputed to have had illicit relations with a string of young female devotees under his care.
Accusations that the disgraced man of God had a history of misconduct was brought to his congregation’s attention when the police interrupted an all night prayer session at his church cum house two weeks ago. Maake is said to be the only pastor for the once 300 strong church members.
Kutlwano Police Station Commander Superintendent Motsholathebe Mothibi confirmed knowledge of the case, which is due to continue in January.

There were days for gender violence activism – would like to see the children from all walks of life take to the streets this year also have days of activism and tell the authorities to do more for them including those organisations that are supposed to be there for them to protect them from anmimals like this one
