Looking forward to open Toya Delazy
Botswana’s most popular hip boy band Buckville are oozing with confidence and excitement ahead of what might be their biggest gig since forming their group.
Products of My African Dream, the quartet of Ndiye “Chris-Mar” Christmas, Mukome “Koby” Muwezwa, Oabile “ATI” Ramsay and Mothusi “Seeks” Sengwaketse have now attracted international attention.
The local lads’ music video to their hit song ‘KCIP’ has been on heavy rotation on Channel O and Zambia’s national television ZMBC. The video has also attracted attention from MTV Base and Trace.
With their newly found recognition Buckville’s star is about to shine even brighter. The former dancers turned vocalists will open for South Africa’s new sensation Toya Delazy (real name Latoya Buthelezi) at this Saturday’s Annual Beach Party at Lions Park.
“We are excited; it came as a surprise and we are really looking forward to the show and curtain-raising for Toya,” said Muwezwa.
Buckville released their first video “Love me” in May 2012, which went viral on Youtube, and have since managed to cut a niche market for themselves especially among the youth, particularly young girls.
They took advantage of the popularity of their Youtube video to shoot their current banger ‘KCIP’ in Johannesburg and as they say the rest is history.
