Botswana Baylor Children’s Clinical Centre of Excellence (COE) got a boost on Wednesday as it received sponsorship to the tune of P100 000 from DTC Botswana.
The COE is a public-private partnership between the government of Botswana and the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative.
The Centre provides free of charge, state of the art paediatric HIV care, treatment and support to children and families throughout Botswana.
Every year in December the COE organizes a Christmas party for its young clients ie 1004 children on HIV treatment aged 0-12 years accompanied by one care-giver.
The year, DTC Botswana has stepped in to help bring a smile to the children’s faces once again.
The party would be held tomorrow (Saturday) and there are many activities lined up for the kids with the cherry on top being the Christmas gift that the children will take home.
“DTC Botswana is very proud to be associated with the Botswana Baylor Children’s Clinical Centre of excellence and the great work that they are doing for the Botswana community,” said the company’s Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Kago Mmopi.1 comment
