YOU WERE WRONG MR PRESIDENT
For once Minister of Presidential Affairs Mokgweetsi Masisi differed with his commander.
Two weeks after President Khama exalted government media over their private counterparts, a statement that was condemned by many.
Giving remarks at the Editor’s Forum Workshop for better business reporting Masisi said there are some people who believe that government and private media are at perpetual loggerheads.
While his boss has declared his hatred for private media, Masisi sees it differently and he made it clear to Editors.
“The media is a whole lot more than partisan perception,” he said.
Good move Honourable, now the last step is to let President Khama know where you stand on the media issue.
WHERE ARE YOUR MANNERS?
What was perhaps meant to be a joke from MC Edward Matokote during the BCL Long Service Awards Ceremony nearly landed him in trouble when Customary Court President Olebogeng Mojuta interpreted it to mean something else.
As the retirees queued for their Certificates, Matokote joked that there will be no more loneliness and night shifts.
Mojuta said from her interpretation Matokote was saying retirees will now have time to satisfy their wives as they will be staying home.
As punishment for uttering those words, embarrassed Matokote was ordered to contribute financially to help raise funds for the retirees’ Christmas party.
Careful what comes from your mouth MC!
WHOSE HOUSE IS IT?
Shaya has been informed that a member of President Khama’s cabinet recently bought a house in Phakalane and made everybody believe that it was a present for his nephew’s 21st birthday.
However Shaya has also been informed that there are suspicions that the politician, who is not so clean, sold his close buddies a dummy.
Apparently the house belongs to him and he was just using his nephew to keep the nosey DCEC away.
