Architects have expressed concern about working in an environment which is unregulated.
It emerged at the Architect Association of Botswana (AAB) media briefi ng held in Phakalane on Monday that some unqualified people masquerade as architects and thus discredit the profession.
AAB president, Vincent Moapare said working in an unregulated environment adversely affected their businesses.
Moapare regretted that anyone could operate as an architect without going through the necessary industrial certifi cation process to examine if they have requisite qualifi cations, and check their level of experience to assess their ability to serve the public.
