A 47-year-old woman, who allegedly killed her boyfriend’s sister at Selolwane ward in Tutume village last month, was on Monday brought for mention before Francistown magistrate court.
Cecilia Disang allegedly choked Mose Tshipi a day before Independence Day celebrations.
Although it is not yet clear why the woman resorted to the alleged crime, rumour has it that Tshipi had been bed ridden for some time when Disang attacked her. The woman who later died at Tutume Primary Hospital allegedly told her brother that she was attacked by the accused after a fight ensured between them.
Meanwhile state prosecutor Sergeant Paphidzo Kuda urged the court to further remand the suspect in custody explaining that police investigations into the murder were still on going, a request which was granted by the court.
Asked whether she was against the incarceration, the woman who is believed to be mentally unfit, merely smiled and said: “No, I don’t have anything to say,”
